IT Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

Plan, design, and implement IT infrastructure solutions including servers, virtualization, storage, and network components.

Responsibilities

Set up and configure physical and virtual servers using platforms such as VMware, Proxmox, or Hyper‑V. Deploy and maintain operating systems (Linux / Windows Server) and related services.

Implement and maintain network devices such as firewalls, routers, and switches. Participate in infrastructure upgrade and migration projects.

System Administration & Maintenance

Manage and maintain servers, storage systems, and virtualization environments. Monitor system health, resource usage, and performance to ensure high availability.

Perform regular patching, updates, and firmware upgrades. Manage user accounts, access controls, and system configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve system and network‑related issues efficiently.

Network Management

Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, and VPN connections. Ensure network security and stability through effective configurations and monitoring. Work with network firewalls, load balancers, and access control systems.

Monitor bandwidth usage, latency, and uptime using network monitoring tools. Collaborate with vendors for ISP, hardware, and network support.

Security & Compliance

Implement security best practices to protect infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities. Manage endpoint protection, antivirus, and firewall configurations.

Support and monitor backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans. Apply regular security updates, patches, and vulnerability assessments. Maintain compliance with IT policies and standards.

Monitoring, Backup & Recovery

Configure monitoring tools (e.g., OpManager, Zabbix, Nagios) for system and network performance tracking. Manage and verify regular data backups using tools like Veeam or equivalent.

Plan and execute recovery procedures during system failures or data loss incidents. Maintain logs and documentation for backup and recovery processes.

Documentation & Support

Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure configurations, network topology, and system changes. Provide 2nd or 3rd level support for escalated technical issues. Collaborate with other IT teams for integration and support.

Assist in preparing reports related to infrastructure performance, capacity, and incidents. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve infrastructure efficiency.

Participate in capacity planning and system scalability initiatives. Optimize system configurations and automate repetitive administrative tasks. Support initiatives for cloud migration or hybrid infrastructure management.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or network engineering.

Proficient in Linux and Windows Server administration. Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper‑V). Knowledge of network configuration and management (Cisco, Fortigate, Mikrotik, etc.). Familiar with firewall, VPN, VLAN, and routing protocols.

Experience managing backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam). Understanding of storage systems (SAN / NAS) and Active Directory. Familiar with monitoring tools (OpManager, Zabbix, Grafana, or similar). Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Good communication and coordination skills. Detail‑oriented with a proactive problem‑solving mindset. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities. Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to system uptime.

Work Setup

Location : On‑site, Jakarta Pusat. Schedule : Full‑time.
