Software Engineering - Backend - Customer Care (Bot and Communication Channels) at Traveloka.
The Customer Care team at Traveloka is the frontline in delivering exceptional customer experiences. Bots and Communication Channels are key to this mission, including chatbots, generative AI, backend systems, third‑party integrations, and monitoring tools to automate interactions and provide timely support through channels such as chat, email and voice.
You will work on building platforms that serve Traveloka customers and internal users, focusing on scalable and maintainable systems, staying up-to-date with new technologies, and participating in the full product development cycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, improve, and maintain chatbots, generative AI, backend systems, third‑party integrations, and monitoring tools to deliver seamless customer journeys through innovative bot solutions and communication channels.
- Work in cross‑functional teams with Product Managers, Designers, Data Analysts, Customer Operations, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to engineering hygiene through code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Participate in solution and architectural design reviews.
- Participate in on‑call service support.
- Contribute to innovation and problem‑solving efforts.
Requirements
Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputable university.Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering, application development, or system development.Experience in designing data structures, systems (database, queue, cache, etc.) and architecture.Strong passion for software engineering, application development, or systems development.Good understanding of software engineering concepts, design patterns, and algorithms.Experience with Java, Terraform and AWS; experience with Python is a plus.Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.Seniority level
