Title : Vice President, Clinical Development – Respiratory

Location : US, Remote

A mid-sized biopharmaceutical company is looking for a seasoned Vice President of Clinical Development to guide and expand its respiratory portfolio, with a focus on conditions such as asthma and COPD. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, this senior leader will be responsible for shaping clinical strategy and overseeing the execution of global studies from early-stage trials through late-phase development. The role requires strong scientific expertise, proven leadership, and the ability to interface effectively with regulatory bodies, senior management, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for clinical development programs in respiratory medicine, from early human studies through pivotal trials.
• Lead study design, oversee collaborations with CROs and external vendors, and ensure rigorous data interpretation and safety monitoring.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Regulatory Affairs, Safety, Biostatistics, and Clinical Operations to deliver on program objectives.
• Act as a senior representative of Clinical Development in discussions with executive leadership, governance committees, and external stakeholders.
• Drive preparation of regulatory filings, clinical study reports, and scientific presentations / publications.
