Overview

Director, Sales (Based at Bandung, Indonesia)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the long-term sales strategy, ensuring alignment with regional and global growth objectives
  • Drive market expansion by identifying new opportunities, strengthening positioning with OEM, brand, and distributor clients, and entering untapped segments
  • Lead high-impact business growth initiatives that secure strategic accounts, strengthen competitive market positioning, and build executive-level client relationships to establish long-term partnerships
  • Implement advanced sales methodologies, tools, and processes to improve customer engagement, strengthen partnerships, and increase conversion rates
  • Partner with regional leadership to influence product development, service offerings, and material innovation in line with market priorities
  • Build and develop a high-performing sales organisation, ensuring the right structure, capabilities, and culture to deliver current and future growth
  • Represent the company at senior-level industry events and client engagements to enhance brand credibility and strengthen market presence
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to adapt strategies for sustained market leadership
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and actionable market insights to guide regional and global decision-making
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Textile Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 7 years in a senior management / director role in the footwear or related materials industry in Indonesia
  • Proven track record in business development, key account management, and achieving sales targets
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and client relationship management
  • Strong technical knowledge of footwear materials such as midsoles, textiles, or adhesives
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills; experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is an advantage
  • Proficiency in both Bahasa indonesia and English is mandatory. Additional proficiency in Chinese is advantageous, aligning with business requirement
