The PGGI Site Manager's main responsibility is to lead all on-site activities of a project to ensure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during the start-up, construction and / or erection, and commissioning phases. In this position, you will serve as the point of contact for the customer and contractors and be expected to liaise between team members and management. You must possess strong organizational and communication skills and work proficiently both individually and in teams.
How you’ll make an impact :
- You will be fully responsible for and monitor all site activities.
- You will plan project on-site activities with the Project Manager, including managing site personnel and the delivery of contractual requirements.
- You will coordinate and drive the performance of site works / operations in accordance with the contract, ensuring the fulfillment of contractual deliverables within the defined schedule and budget, with a strong emphasis on quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- You will serve as the main interface for customer site representatives and local authorities, assist in technical discussions with customers, and ensure proper implementation and compliance with the site-specific health, safety, and environmental plans.
- You will ensure that a detailed construction health & safety (H&S) plan is in place, compliant with Hitachi Energy standards, and that all on-site resources are properly trained on company policies. You will proactively promote health and safety considerations to project partners and take necessary steps to ensure safety.
- You will manage the site budget and costs, prepare accurate forecasts, communicate deviations, and define mitigation actions. You will oversee subcontractor work, claims, payment certificates, and overall subcontractor performance.
- You will ensure the collection and implementation of lessons learned from previous projects, and that all documentation is properly maintained and updated, with the latest revisions used for construction work.
- You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your background :
3 to 5 years of experience as a site manager for high voltage installations.Ability to lead and work hands-on to deliver timely completion and meet customer expectations. Safety is a priority—both on and off work. Relevant knowledge and experience in HSE, contracts management, and high voltage substation commissioning and O&M.Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills. Good understanding of schedule management, including critical path and risk mitigation. Self-motivated, capable of driving stakeholder engagement internally and externally.
