Power Plant Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities: To lead and coordinate all operational and maintenance activities of the power plant to ensure maximum equipment availability, reliability, and safety while meeting production targets and environmental regulations.

Job Description:

• Daily Operations: Oversee the 24/7 operation of the BTG (Boiler, Turbine, and Generator) island and auxiliary systems (WTP/WWTP).
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor shift supervisors, operators, and technicians to ensure high performance and strict adherence to SOPs.
• Maintenance Planning: Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime (MTTR/MTBF).
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and government regulations regarding emissions and labor safety.
• Performance Monitoring: Track key plant metrics such as Heat Rate, Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC), and overall plant efficiency.
• Budget Management: Manage the operational budget, including spare parts inventory and fuel consumption costs.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Experience: Min 15 years of experience handling High Pressure Coal Boiler(s), combined with steam turbine(s) for the power generation .
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of high-pressure boilers (Coal), steam turbines, and water treatment chemistry.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, proficiency in DCS (Distributed Control Systems), and excellent leadership communication.
