Role Purpose
Responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of warehouse and distribution operations. This includes coordinating the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, managing a team of warehouse staff / operator, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols, and deliver agreed KPI.
Main Duties
1. Health & Safety (H&S) Accountability: Accountable for the team's health and safety, the facility safety as well as the overall housekeeping of the working areas.
- Communicate all company H&S SOPs policies to all team member timely and effectively as well as supervise activities in according with SOP and policies.
- Perform hazardous and risk assessment of working location/ tools on regular basis; propose and implement action plan for continuous improvement of the safety working condition and people safety behaviour.
- Maintain or/and identify area for improvement of the overall housekeeping to meet company standard and policies.
- Be accountable for preparation and arrangement of resources to handle the emergencies
2. Supervise warehouse operation (put away, picking, packing, and distribution) for all finished goods effectively - within approved budget and in comply with all Company policy to deliver best service to customers.
- Manage daily activity (put away, picking, packing, distribution) complied with Company Policy.
- Liaise with relevant departments in solving issues relating to customers with priority.
- Review WH layout periodically and propose for reset up in system to optimize warehouse space capacity.
- Ensure finished goods stored in good manner.
- Make sure all required controlling activities to be conducted properly and timely: cycle count, bin consolidation, fixed bin replenishment
- Responsible to ensure all warehouse facilities (building, racking, forklift trucks, moving equipment, office equipment) well managed to maintain daily operation smoothly.
- Manage and assess forwarder performance to make sure cost managed effectively.
3. Drive the continuous improvement related to Logistics activity:
- Review daily process / activity for both inbound and outbound which are interacting with other functions (WH/ production/CS/Procurement) to propose for further improvement, execute automation process.
- Updating existing Standard Operation Procedure if required, review new Standard Operation Procedure before application.
- Analyze supply chain KPI performance against best practice to propose for improvement.
- Periodically review all WH process, procedure to align with Group policy related to stock management.
- Perform special projects/tasks related to supply chain if required.
4. People management accountability:
- Responsible for hiring and appointment of personnel within their own team by participating in the selection process as and when required.
- Organize and arrange shift schedule, operating to ensure smooth operation of all factory warehouse in according to meet company and local legal and compliance requirement and standard.
- Responsible for team and individual performance objective; to set, to monitor and to be responsible for assessment of team/individual's performance on the proper and fairly and timely manner to meet Company performance review process and standard.
- Overview and monitor team disciplines and participate in the discipline meeting to build the disciplinary working environment
5. Health, Safety & Environmental Participations
- Actively participate in all H&S and Environmental programs.
- Use appropriate PPE as designated area.
- Report any safety or environmental incidents, including accidents, near misses, unsafe actions, and unsafe conditions.
- Overseeing all activity within their team complies with the environmental policy and reviewing reports for further improvement.
Authorities
- Approve warehouse layout changes and process improvements.
- Validate stock accuracy and corrective actions for discrepancies.
- Approve team schedules and performance objectives.
General Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse and distribution operations, Project management/Operation/ Logistics, preferably in footwear or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and stock accuracy.
- Experience in inbound and outbound logistics, delivery coordination, and transportation management.
- Good understanding of FIFO/FEFO, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation.
- Familiar with production support and material handling for manufacturing processes.
- Experience in supervising warehouse staff and managing daily operational activities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to analyze warehouse KPIs (OTIF, inventory accuracy, lead time, productivity).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure to meet shipment deadlines.
- Experience/ Knowledge of project management software/tools are preferable
- Effective communication skills in both Bahasa and English
- Willing to work in a factory/warehouse environment.
