Operating across Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, and Vietnam, Cloudwell currently works alongside its nonprofit partner, Gravity Water, to implement high-impact water projects for public infrastructure globally. Together, the organizations have received multiple international awards and recognition as leaders in water resilience innovation.

Position Overview

The Country Director will lead Cloudwell’s Indonesia operations, overseeing all in-country activities and building the foundation for long-term growth. This role is designed as a pathway to a future CEO-level leadership position, with initial oversight and strategic guidance provided by the Global CEO.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Indonesian leader based in Jakarta who can manage diverse functions while driving business growth, operational excellence, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and oversee all in-country operations, aligning execution with global strategy
• Serve as the primary representative of Cloudwell in Indonesia
• Work closely with the Global CEO on strategic planning and organizational development

Administration & Compliance

• Oversee all administrative functions including HR, financial management, and legal compliance
• Ensure proper reporting, governance, and regulatory adherence
• Establish and maintain internal systems and processes

Business Development

• Identify, develop, and secure new partnerships and revenue opportunities
• Support sales strategy and relationship management with key stakeholders
• Expand Cloudwell’s presence across priority markets and sectors

Supply Chain & Logistics

• Manage supply chain operations including OEM coordination, procurement, and imports
• Ensure efficient, cost-effective, and reliable delivery of products and materials

Public Relations & Government Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies and key institutional partners
• Represent the organization in public forums, meetings, and events
• Support positioning of rainwater harvesting as a national solution

Operations Oversight

• Manage and support the Operations Manager to ensure strong performance and outcomes
• Ensure high standards in project implementation, quality control, and team performance

Global Coordination & Reporting

• Act as the primary liaison with the global team
• Provide regular reporting on operations, financials, and impact
• Collaborate across teams on product development, strategy, and scaling efforts
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Indonesian national, based in Jakarta (required)
• Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in operations, infrastructure, water, or social enterprise sectors
• Strong experience managing teams, projects, and cross-functional operations
• Demonstrated ability in business development, partnerships, or sales
• Experience working with government stakeholders or navigating regulatory environments is highly preferred
• Strong financial and organizational management skills
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (required)
• Passion for water sustainability, climate resilience, and impact-driven work
