About the Role
As a Senior Facility Engineer (Mechanical) , you will be responsible for providing engineering expertise and technical support to design, troubleshoot, analyze, and modify the complex mechanical systems across our operations. You will collaborate closely with Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Projects, and other technical teams to ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of critical assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and technical authority in mechanical systems, including both rotating and static equipment (valves, pumps, piping systems, steam turbines, compressors, gearboxes, diesel engine, heaters, heat exchanger, tank, vessels, relief and vent systems, pipeline).
- Deliver daily engineering support to Operations and Maintenance teams by identifying early signs of abnormal equipment behavior, conducting troubleshooting and inspections, driving performance improvement initiatives, and providing repair review and advise and coordinating with external stakeholders to achieve the operations targets and goals.
- Execute Engineering Work Requests involving comprehensive engineering studies, partial design reviews for facility modifications and upgrades, mechanical integrity assessments, and fitness-for-service evaluations to ensure reliable, safe, and incident-free operations.
- Prepare and deliver monthly Plant Performance Reliability and Monitoring Reports for Mechanical Systems through cross-functional team data collection, technical analysis (including predictive failure), and solution recommendations. Present findings to Asset and FE Leadership Teams, and drive continuous improvement by documenting issues, managing resolutions, and following up on action plans such as EWR, MOC, WO, SOP, and lesson learning.
- Participate in Shutdown Turnaround (SDTA) from planning to execution, including long-range preparation, resource and budget planning, QA / QC, work scoping, and technical coordination with OEMs. Lead QA / QC execution through ITP, provide engineering support via inspections, PSSR, and technical advice, and conduct performance analysis before and after SDTA. Support OEM communication and contribute to look-back reviews to enhance future turnaround effectiveness.
- Assigned as Project Manager or Project Engineer on OPEX or CAPEX Project for Power Plant Facility Improvement which will lead or involve on developing technical designs & specifications, manage project budgeting (through AFE development, expenditure monitoring, and reporting aligned with schedules), oversee procurement and service contracts (including material specifications, bidding, and execution), conduct timely updates on project scope, cost, schedule, and progress to meet stakeholder requirements, deliver projects safely and in compliance with plant requirements and PIS schedules, while conducting post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide high quality standard as the MOC Owner / Facilitator or Technical Reviewer or Risk Reviewer in Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Participate in the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process for reliability incident either as Leader or Member or Facilitator or Resource or Subject Matter Expert (SME) including closing action item(s) assigned.
- Participate on hazard analysis, equipment inspections, technical audit and other engineering loss control activities to ensure the plant safety, integrity and reliability
