Position Overview
The Front Office Intern is responsible for ensuring that guest interactions are carried out in alignment with the highest service standards. This role involves learning and executing daily front office tasks while understanding the brand and product to provide exceptional guest experiences. The intern will receive hands-on training and work closely with colleagues from various departments, including direct collaboration with leadership teams and stakeholders.
The Role
- Guest Engagement : Welcome guests with warmth, handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, and provide a seamless arrival and departure experience.
- Personalized Service : Anticipate guests' needs, preferences, and requests to create a tailored and memorable stay.
- Reservation & Room Assignment : Assist in processing room bookings, managing availability, and coordinating room assignments.
- Information & Concierge Services : Offer guests recommendations on hotel amenities, dining, local attractions, and activities to enhance their stay.
- Communication & Coordination : Work closely with Housekeeping, Concierge, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Forbes Standards Compliance : Understand and implement Capella's service excellence standards to exceed guest expectations.
- Billing & Payments : Support in preparing invoices, handling guest payments, and ensuring accurate financial transactions.
- Administrative Support : Assist in maintaining records, updating guest profiles, and performing other front desk duties as required.
- Workplace Cleanliness & Organization : Maintain a well-organized and presentable front office area in accordance with operational standards.
- Policy & Procedure Adherence : Follow all safety, security, and operational protocols related to front office management.
