JOB PURPOSE :

The Asst. Financial Controller is a critical role thatwill be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial health by managing all aspects of financial, reporting, and compliance. This role ensures accuracy in financial reporting, supports strategic decision-making, and leads initiatives to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Lead and manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Oversee all statutory reporting, audit coordination, and compliance with local financial regulations and tax requirements.

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders

Develop and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures, align with IFRS / GAAP

Collaborate with each stakeholders to provide financial insights and drive performance improvement

Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education : Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience : Several years of experience in accounting and controller, preferably in a corporate setting

Certifications : Relevant certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus

As publicly announced, it is envisaged that Unilever will internally separate its Ice Cream business by July 2025, at which point this role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company It is expected that the Ice Cream business will then separate from Unilever by the end of 2025 Any impact on terms and conditions of employment will be communicated in due course This proposal is subject to consultation where legally required
