- Develop and implement the organization’s logistics strategy aligned with business goals.
- Design and optimize logistics processes to ensure cost-efficiency, quality service, and timely delivery.
- Forecast logistics and supply chain needs, including resources, budgets, and timelines.
- Collaborate with senior management to set logistics KPIs and performance targets.
Transportation & Distribution
Manage the transportation and distribution network to optimize route planning, fuel efficiency, and timely delivery schedules.Negotiate and maintain contracts with transportation providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective services.Oversee shipment documentation and compliance with regulations and policies.Monitor distribution processes to achieve timely, accurate deliveries while minimizing costs.Team Management & Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of logistics professionals.Set clear goals and expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the logistics team.Identify training needs and opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.Budgeting & Cost Management
Develop and monitor the logistics budget, focusing on cost reduction and efficiency.Track expenses and identify areas for cost‑saving and improvement without compromising quality.Regularly review logistics spending and report variances to management with recommended actions.Ensure logistics operations comply with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.Monitor and address any compliance issues, including those related to environmental and transportation regulations.Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze logistics data to evaluate performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.Generate regular reports on logistics performance, including KPIs, cost analysis, and delivery metrics.Use data to provide insights and recommend improvements in logistics processes.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.Experience : At least 7‑10 years of experience in transportation logistics, with a minimum of 3‑5 years in a leadership role.Experience in courier or ride‑hailing service will be preferable.Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles.Excellent leadership and people management skills.Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.Ability to manage budgets and implement cost‑saving measures.Seniority Level
