Learning and Development Specialist-(WD73615)

Job Purpose

Strategic partner providing specialist knowledge and advisory to the business units on the

learning agenda.

Key Accountabilities (List the expected end results or KPIs that the incumbent is expected to achieve for this job. Do not list more than 5)

  • Advisory to manager & employee segment.
  • Support learning agenda in business strategy by way of roadmap, business project

and initiatives program launches.

  • Delivery and facilitation.
  • Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain innovative DBS Academy solutions which align
  • functional knowledge, processes and policies to support business strategy

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to drive learning agenda / roadmaps or strategic
  • programs through Learning Councils

  • Conduct learning needs analysis and execute learning roadmap / priority programs
  • adoption through proactive interactions with internal stakeholders

  • Continually evaluate / assess effectiveness and benefits of curriculum programs
  • related to training delivery, content, methods and participants’ or senior

    management

  • Ensure flawless execution of curriculum to create a joyful client experience
  • Represent DBS Academy to stakeholders through clear and concise, client-oriented
  • communication

  • Identify, evaluate and deliver appropriate learning interventions to internal
  • stakeholders through the use of stand up facilitation, in-house resources and / or

    external consultants / vendors where appropriate

  • Ensure all areas of work comply with internal controls, audit and regulatory
  • requirements

  • Builds trusting partnerships with Business Stakeholders, Business Human
  • Resource Relationship Managers, Talent Acquisition Team, Training Admin Team

    and external vendors / partners

    Requirements : Experience :

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Learning and Development, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong experience in budget management, program evaluation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Education & Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Professional certifications in L&D, HR, or related areas are preferred.
  • Proficiency in L&D technologies, learning management systems (LMS), and data analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of learning principles, instructional design, and training evaluation methodologies.
