About the Role
AIA is seeking a Head of Pricing (Actuary) to assist the Chief Actuary in designing and reviewing products, compensation schemes, marketing plans, and other actuarial projects related to the business.
Key Roles & Responsibilities :
- Provide intensive on-the-job technical training and develop the capabilities of subordinates on product pricing / development, agency and bancassurance compensation review work, and other actuarial projects assigned by senior management.
- Involvement in the end-to-end product development cycle, ensuring that pricing and processes comply with AIA Group Standards and local regulatory requirements. Lead the supervision and project management of pricing deliverables to ensure timely product launches, working closely with the Product and Marketing teams.
- Recommend approval for product pricing, reinsurance arrangements, and design for all lines of business and compensation schemes across distribution channels.
- Responsible for local regulatory product filings and assist the appointed actuary in submitting product approval proposals to regulatory authorities.
- Support initiatives of Corporate Solutions, including underwriting, campaigns, quotations, and preparation of results for monthly business development meetings. Conduct Experience Studies for Group Portfolios. Review agency and bancassurance compensation schemes in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Provide actuarial services for project-based assignments and support stakeholders within agreed scope and timelines.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Actuary / Mathematics with at least 15 years of actuarial experience, including a minimum of 5 years in pricing individual and group products.Associate / Fellowship in a recognized actuarial professional body (e.g., SOA, IA, IAA for foreign candidates).At least 10 years of experience managing a team.Proactive, responsible, with strong ownership of assigned projects.Strong technical, analytical, and project management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in written and spoken English.Proficiency in spreadsheet and actuarial software tools.Build a career with us as we help our customers and community live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
