The Optimization Manager is responsible for enhancing the performance, reach, and efficiency of the company’s B2B online booking engine. This role focuses on maximizing product distribution through global channels, improving system usability, ensuring competitive pricing, and optimizing partnerships with suppliers and technology providers. The manager will oversee connectivity, monitor inventory accuracy, drive system adoption, and implement strategies to increase sales through the booking platform
Distribution & Connectivity Management
- Manage relationships with bedbanks, channel managers, GDS, OTAs, and other B2B distribution partners.
- Ensure smooth API / XML integration with hotels, suppliers, and third-party systems.
- Monitor system uptime, mapping issues, and booking failures with IT / tech teams.
- Expand product availability by onboarding new suppliers and negotiating favorable terms.
System Optimization & Performance
Analyze search-to-book ratios, conversion rates, and user behavior to improve booking engine efficiency.Identify and resolve gaps in rates, availability, and content quality.Optimize pricing strategies to remain competitive across different markets.Conduct regular system testing and collaborate with IT to enhance user experience.Commercial Growth & Strategy
Work closely with Sales & Marketing to increase adoption of the B2B platform by existing and new partners.Develop and implement strategies for dynamic pricing, promotions, and special deals.Track competitor distribution models and benchmark system performance.Provide business insights and recommendations to management based on data analytics.Reporting & Monitoring
Prepare regular reports on distribution performance, supplier contribution, and booking engine KPIs.Monitor system errors, failed transactions, and resolve with support teams.Ensure accuracy of hotel content, images, descriptions, and policiesTechnical Skills
