The Opportunity

Currently theyare seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Director, Marine & Logistics Operations to lead our operational strategy and execution. This is a critical leadership role that requires a hands-on approach and extensive on-the-ground experience. The ideal candidate will be a visionary who can optimize their current operations while driving the growth into new markets and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership : Oversee all aspects of our tug and barge operations, including vessel scheduling, crew management, voyage planning, and maintenance. Ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Strategic Planning : Develop and execute long-term operational strategies that align with the company's business goals, including fleet expansion, route optimization, and new market entry.
• On-Site Management : Regularly travel to various operational sites, ports, and onboard vessels to directly monitor, audit, and improve operational procedures. This role is not desk-bound and requires significant field presence.
• Performance & Profitability : Manage the operational budget, control costs, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive profitability and make data-driven decisions.
• Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team of captains, engineers, and onshore support staff. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
• Regulatory & Safety Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to all national and international maritime laws, safety regulations, and company-specific protocols. Act as the key liaison with port authorities and other regulatory bodies.
