Accountant, Bookkeeper for NZ Finance Consultancy - Remote

We’re seeking a detail orientated Accountant / Bookkeeper to help our client, a CFO Finance Consultancy in New Zealand. In this remote position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the consultancy’s clients by ensuring accurate accounting records and work directly with the CFO. Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements on a monthly and annual basis (Monthly Cost Accrual Management and Financial Reports)
• Process accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy
• Manage payroll (fortnightly), bank reconciliations and cashflow management
• Assist with tax preparation and planning, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (GST and PAYE)
• Track and manage budgets, reporting any discrepancies or issues
• Provide reports and insights to management regarding financial performance
• Utilise Xero software (integration with 3rd party apps) to streamline operations and maintain organised records
