About This Opportunity

From the team at Frame Rats Digital, we are excited to present a unique opportunity with a new indie studio : Holy Tower Games .

Founded by a key member of the leadership team that took our project to Gamescom and secured grants from the Apple Developer Academy , Holy Tower Games is a new, funded studio on a mission to create deep & unique gaming experiences.

We are posting on their behalf to help them build their core founding team for an ambitious debut title. This is your chance to join a new studio on the ground floor, led by a proven industry founder.

About the Project

The first project is a 2D / 2.5D single-player, action-roguelike that redefines the bullet heaven genre. Players navigate through room-based dungeons , controlling a non-attacking character who must survive by commanding a powerful party of tamed monsters (Khodam). The gameplay features a unique party-based combat system with a manually-aimed Main Khodam and several passive Sub-Khodams. The core experience is built around deep monster-taming, extensive build-crafting, and complex meta-progression, including a fusion system. Drawing inspiration from global mythology (mainly Chinese, Indonesian, Norse, and Greek), the game focuses on deep and rewarding game mechanics, extensive build-crafting, and a distinct, stylized art direction.

The Role

As the first Lead Game Programmer for Holy Tower Games, you will be the architectural backbone of their debut project. You won't just be writing code; you will be a key partner in building the entire technical and design framework for the game and for the studio's future.

• Architect and build the core gameplay systems from the ground up.
• Champion a clean, scalable, and modular game architecture.
• Collaborate directly with the founder and Lead Artist to bring the game's vision to life.
• Establish the engineering pipeline, best practices, and technical standards for the studio.
• Be ready to mentor and lead a small team of developers as the studio grows.

What We're Looking For
