Overview
Cluster Associate Director of Sales - Jakarta Sales Office, reporting to the Director of Sales, with responsibility to assist in providing leadership in all selling activities within the hotel. Work closely with the Rooms, Food and Beverage and other revenue-generating departments to maximize sales through the activities of the Sales Department and other associates. The goal is to position the hotel in the local marketplace through appropriate sales and marketing initiatives and to direct and coordinate all event sales activities.
As the Associate Director of Sales - Jakarta Sales Office, you will be responsible for assisting in leadership of all selling activities and for supporting the Director of Sales to drive sales initiatives at Grand Hyatt Bali.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and maintenance of a detailed Department Operations Manual that reflects policies and procedures, work processes and performance standards within the Division. Ensure annual review to reflect changes.
- Assist sales strategy, tactics, and action implementations, complying with Smart Selling approaches, to create a strong and disciplined sales team and achieve the sales goal.
- Monitor and evaluate local, national and international market trends and the competitor hotels’ sales initiatives to keep the hotel’s marketing and sales competitive and up-to-date.
- Ensure a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales solicitation by telephone and written communications.
- Conduct regular market surveys and competitor research.
- Efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, while meeting associate, guest and owner expectations.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years work experience as Associate Director of Sales or Senior Sales Manager.Strong problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills.Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation and organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds.Revenue forecasting and development of short- and long-term business strategies.Act as the senior customer-facing representative for current and prospective clients, including site inspections and client entertainment.Proven results-driven, energetic and service-oriented with professional presentation skills.High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, and track record in high-volume concepts; effective communicator and ability to improve the bottom line; strong customer service focus.Clear concise written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Proficient in sales and revenue systems / programs; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Ideally a university degree or diploma in Marketing or Hospitality / Tourism management.Seniority level
