What will I be doing?
- Support the overall strategic management of the hotel by establishing effective working relationships with senior colleagues, notably the GM, DBD, FC, and HRD.
- In-charge of Front Office, Housekeeping, Security, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Recreation, and Food Safety.
- Actively participate in key property management issues (capital projects, refurbishment, training, customer service).
- Train and implement Hilton standards and related departmental regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of all hotel areas to ensure hardware and software are in optimum condition.
- Develop a detailed cost control plan to maximize operating profit without compromising Hilton standards, safety procedures, or guest experience.
- Analyze costs on a monthly basis and prepare action plans for cost per occupied room, food cost, beverage costs, payroll (including overtime), and other expenses such as outsourced labor or services.
- Manage all direct reports professionally, encouraging teamwork and efficient operations.
- Develop or approve annual, quarterly, and monthly budgets, targets, and work plans for direct reports.
- Conduct regular Operations meetings with all direct reports.
- Supervise team members’ performance and grooming daily.
- Ensure duty rosters meet hotel needs and comply with labor laws.
- Ensure hotel and direct reports achieve key targets (revenue, profit, QA, turnover, etc.).
- Collaborate with the DBD and F&B Managers to ensure F&B is operated cost-effectively (menu, pricing, promotions, and ongoing activities).
- Assist the DBD in establishing an efficient and competitive C&C strategy and pricing with C&C Sales.
- Supervise and direct hotel activities such as celebrations, decorations, and coordination with conference organizers.
- Evaluate competitors’ products and price policies twice a year.
- Ensure VIP guests receive exceptional care and service daily.
- Adhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures.
- Assist the General Manager with daily operations and related activities.
- Complete tasks assigned by the General Manager and act as deputy in the General Manager’s absence.
