Head of Engineering - Asia

Overview : At Qwiik.com, as the Head of Engineering – Asia, you will play a pivotal role in the development and optimization of our software applications. You will act as the key engineer working directly with the CTO and other lead engineers to implement the roadmap, involving hands-on coding and team management.

Additionally, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our applications, focusing on UI, API, storage, and SaaS solutions. Your expertise will guide the integration of Qwiik applications across third-party vendors, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO and CTO to enable the roadmap and achieve milestones.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications using ReactJs, Typescript, Electron for UI, and C# with .NET 8.0 for API development.
• Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests and test cases to ensure code quality.
• Manage storage solutions, including Azure SQL and Storage Blobs, to optimize data handling.
• Ensure high security and encryption standards across all applications to protect data and ensure compliance.
• Leverage Azure PaaS solutions for deployment and management to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Build and manage mobile-friendly web applications with cross-platform responsiveness.
• Implement and maintain CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to streamline development and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify user requirements and drive innovation.
• Deep understanding of distributed applications, focusing on BI and low latency API platforms.
• Deliver software that enhances user experience by aligning customer needs with business goals.
• Cultivate engineering excellence and drive continuous improvement in processes.
• Own accountability for quality metrics, including system performance, availability, efficiency, security, data management, and cost-effectiveness.
• Work with stakeholders to align solutions with strategic roadmaps and initiatives.
• Collaborate with peers and staff to integrate new technologies and methods into scalable solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices to continuously improve products and skills.
