This dual-role position combines responsibilities in Business Development and Office Management . The BD cum Office Manager will lead initiatives to expand the company’s FPSO and offshore-related business in Indonesia while overseeing daily operations of the local office. The role requires a dynamic professional with strong commercial acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Proficiency in Chinese language is an added advantage for cross-border communications.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify, develop, and secure FPSO and offshore-related business opportunities in Indonesia.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, NOCs (e.g., Pertamina), IOCs, EPCs, and government agencies.
Lead business proposals, tendering activities, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to provide market intelligence.
Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, and government forums.
Collaborate with global BD and technical teams to align strategies with company objectives.
Office Management
Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Act as the primary liaison with local authorities, vendors, and service providers.
Manage administrative support, including HR coordination, office finance, and procurement.
Support expatriate staff mobility, permits, and logistics.
Ensure smooth communication between the Indonesia office and regional / global headquarters.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in business development, preferably within FPSO, offshore, or oil & gas projects .
Strong understanding of Indonesia’s offshore oil & gas market, regulatory framework, and local business culture.
Proven track record of developing client relationships and securing major contracts / projects.
Office management or corporate services experience in an international company setting.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in Chinese language is a strong advantage.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel as required.
Preferred Attributes
Established network within Indonesia’s offshore oil & gas and energy industry.
Experience coordinating between regional offices and headquarters in Asia.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage both commercial and operational responsibilities.
