About The Team

Amartha is actively expanding its digital risk management team as part of our strategic focus on digital transformation in 2025. We are looking to strengthen our capabilities in managing digital lending risks to support our growing portfolio of digital financial products. To this end, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital and Embedded Lending Risk Lead to join our team. This role will play a critical part in shaping and overseeing the risk management strategies for our digital lending platforms, ensuring that we continue to provide secure and effective financial solutions to our customers while mitigating potential risks in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain credit risk policies and frameworks for digital lending products and / or embedded finance products.
• Analyze credit data and customer profiles to define lending thresholds, risk tolerance, and approval criteria.
• Establish exposure limits-based analysis for partners.
• Propose risk-adjusted pricing strategies based on customer risk profiles.
• Monitor portfolio performance and loan repayment trends to adjust risk policies and mitigate potential losses.
• Collaborate with data science teams to continuously improve risk scoring models and decision engines.
• Partner with product, business, operation, collection etc to align credit policies with business growth strategies and customer needs.
• Prepare reports and presentations on portfolio health and risk exposure for stakeholders
• Drive innovation in credit risk assessment methods, particularly using alternative data sources and digital-first strategies.
• Monitor changes in regulatory environments and adjust policies to maintain compliance with evolving legal frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field are a plus.
• 5+ years experience in credit risk management, policy development, or risk analysis, ideally within digital lending, banking, leasing (multifinance) and fintech.
• Strong understanding of credit underwriting and portfolio management.
• Experience working within the embedded finance space / managing risk in partnership with third-party platforms
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams and external partners
• Familiarity with digital lending platforms, credit technology, and alternative lending models is a plus.
