Responsibilities
- Act as the leader of the technical content of the project and be the single point of contact regarding all project technical topics.
- Ensure customer technical requirements are fulfilled (in terms of performance, quality, costs, and time), in compliance with the contract, based on the Architecture & Technical specifications defined during the tendering phase.
- Lead a technical team composed of customer project technical designers and engineers and ensure technical coordination of all project stakeholders.
- Lead all technical aspects of customer-integrated projects, such as design, implementation, testing, FAT.
- Manage technical risks and interfaces between the project team stakeholders and the customer; obtain final customer approval of the overall technical solution designed and delivered.
- Support Sales or Tendering during the selling phase to provide technical solutions to meet customers’ requirements.
Scope and Environment
Part of a customer project execution / application center.Project technical teams are located across one or several sites / countries in East Asia, requiring international collaboration with other functional teams and stakeholders.Key Activities and Responsibilities
Technical team coordination and management : Lead and approve the basic and detailed design of all technical aspects of an integrated solution, in line with customer and contract requirements (technical performance).Ensure the project technical team delivers according to the project planning.Monitor technical costs and keep the budget for the technical part under control.Coordinate all technical implementation activities at factories or supplier premises and testing facilities until project closure.Technical coordination of project stakeholders
Collaborate closely with PM and other technical designers and engineers who handle parts of the technical scope.Identify whether specific expertise support is needed and coordinate the actions if any.Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of sub-contracted parts of the project, in strong coordination with the procurement team.Act as a single point of contact for all project stakeholders regarding the technical content and ensure coordination among the project team.Design and implementation : according to field of knowledge; perform, review design and specification activities leveraging Schneider Electric portfolio; may perform some implementation / testing activities (testing, FAT, etc.).Risk and Opportunity Management, Change Management, Alert : identify potential changes versus the contract or agreed design; work with PM to specify changes and implications (including cost impact) until a variation order is obtained; alert PM of substantial issues affecting project performance or customer satisfaction.Customer interactions : lead technical discussions and clarifications with customers; act as the key contact for all technical topics related to the project.Quality Process, Methods, and Tools : support PM to ensure full compliance with Schneider-Electric processes (CPP & TDP), quality instructions, safety requirements, and governance principles; lead the technical team to correct deviations or quality issues during execution.Community of Practices & Coaching : participate in Technical Leaders’ Community of Practice within the Execution Center or globally within the Technical Excellence Community; identify, formalize, share and promote lessons learned and best practices; act as a role model and coach junior engineers and designers; stay connected with LoBs on the latest technical evolutions.Qualifications
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
Education : Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Other languages : a plus.
Experience : 7–10 years in leading the technical scope of projects in Power systems or Electrical Distribution System applications (MV, LV).
Experience across engineering domains : Power, Automation & Software, Telecom & IT, Cyber Security; Mechanical & HVAC; and Structural is a plus.
Technical experience in a specific market segment (e.g., Power GRID & Utility, OGP, MMM, F&B, Data Center) or in a customer application / process is a plus.
Skills :
Ability to use electrical and / or software tools (drawing, power system study and calculation, etc.).Ability to read and understand applicable standards.Effective written and verbal communication on technical issues.Ability to learn from others, share knowledge, coach others, and collaborate efficiently.You must submit an online application to be considered for any position with us.
