Job Purpose

If you are passionate about a sustainable future for our planet by driving increased usage of PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic, achieving cost-effective scaling up and redesigning the value chain, establishing partnerships both externally and internally, exploring innovative technologies and models throughout the value chain, and working toward a circular economy for plastics while enhancing superior availability (resilience and agility of our supply chain) , then this role is just for you!

Main Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of the PCR sourcing strategy in SEAA and PCR allocation plans to achieve our goals to increase the use of post-consumer recycled plastic material in our packaging.
• Implement sourcing strategy through contracts and negotiations.
• Demonstrate an extensive understanding of the PCR market landscape in SEAA to work on a Future-fit supply chain.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers, creating a comprehensive supplier panel in SEAA.
• Lead studies and analysis on waste and collection to identify opportunities for value chain redesign projects.
• Support new suppliers’ development to expand capabilities and create competitiveness.
• Establish and support superior availability (resilience programs related to PCR).
• Drive partnerships around the needs of each business group / business unit.
• Manage supplier relationships with a focus on quality, innovation, superior availability, and long-term commercial viability.
• Negotiate with strong negotiation strategies to maximize value and cost savings.
• Connect with suppliers, industry players, and NGOs externally to stay informed about advancements and initiatives along the value chain in SEAA.
• Efficient and timely communication to internal stakeholders and leadership team.
• Achieve financial KPI through suppliers.
• Conduct PCR material price forecasting for SEAA.
• Monitor, track, and analyze the progress of current and upcoming PCR projects.

Work towards creation of a Circular Economy on Plastics for Unilever

Support execution of Global / Regional Roll-out programs
