Overview
Equans is looking for a Regional Technical Services Manager to join the team in Bristol on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package. The Regional Technical Services Manager will cover Bristol, Dudley and Oxford. The contract consists of 1 Community Hospital and 9 Health Centre’s across Bristol, Dudley & Oxford, and are comprised of PFI contracts. The role is primarily based in Bristol, however travel to other areas in Dudley and Oxford will be required.
To work closely with the Operations Manager, Contract Manager and Technical Administrator’s to ensure that every building under the contractual umbrella is fully compliant with our statutory maintenance obligations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring each site remains 100% compliant, by ensuring all works are carried out at the correct intervals, to the correct standard. Ensuring that all corrective works are carried out within the given timescales, and that all paperwork is kept up to date and audit ready.
Responsibilities
- Manage all compliance across the Health Care Portfolio (HTM knowledge desirable)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Provide technical guidance and advice to wider team
- Ensure corrective works are carried out within correct timescales
- Ensure works are carried out at the correct intervals, to the correct and most current relevant standards
- Assist and lead periodic audits and inspections to ensure the contract is fully compliant, oversee the NCR management process
- Maintain the contract compliance tracker
- Identify opportunities for business growth and contribute to development of new contracts and tenders
- Monitor service performance, analyse data, and implement improvements to optimise service delivery
- Update teams with any relative legislation changes
- Conduct reviews of tenders to ensure correct working practices are being specified and adopted for maintenance contracts, projects and lifecycle works
- Ensure PPM job plans are correct and in line with current legislation
- Update CAFM system where required
- Carry out ad hoc training sessions where required
- Conduct subcontractor reviews and audits
- Conduct management safety visits and audits on Premises Managers and Mobile Technicians to ensure safe and compliant working practices
- Lead on audits and completion of actions effectively

Mechanical / Electrical qualification or equivalent (Essential)Prior experience in a Hard FM Services environment (Healthcare desirable)Knowledge of statutory and mandatory complianceExcellent technical knowledge and abilityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and proactiveGood organisational skills and ability to work to deadlinesAnalytical thinking to identify solutions and make sound decisionsAttention to detail and high standard of workGood IT literacyNEBOSH preferred but not essentialThis role includes a DBS Basic check, therefore the ability to pass is essential.
