Merchandise Manager (Knitwear)

Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textile, Business, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in merchandising or sourcing for knit apparel (factory / export exposure preferred) with prior experience in trading company and garment company is required. Proven experience in handling knit products and development processes. Strong knowledge of garment construction, knit techniques, sampling processes, costing analysis, and advanced Excel. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Able to work with cross-border suppliers. Strong communication, negotiation, project management, and problem-solving skills. Willing to be placed at Lippo Karawaci.
Responsibilities
- Translate design briefs / tech packs into feasible knit product plans and manage development timelines and approvals.
- Oversee the full sampling process from proto to pre-production, including fit, trims, and lab dip approvals, and maintain clear revision records.
- Plan and monitor production schedules, confirm capacities, place purchase orders, and track order status.
- Source, qualify, and onboard new knit vendors; negotiate commercial terms, MOQs, and cost reductions.
- Coordinate with QC and Buyer to ensure product specifications are met and resolve quality issues with suppliers and internal teams.
