A leading group of companies in the industrial sector is looking for an experienced and proactive Legal Manager to oversee legal operations across multiple business entities. This role will ensure compliance with applicable laws, manage contractual matters, and provide legal support for employment and corporate activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Operational Licenses & Legal Compliance
Manage and update all necessary operational permits and licenses, such as :
- Business Identification Number (NIB)
- Environmental permits (AMDAL, UKL-UPL)
- Building permits and Industrial Business License (IUI)
- SNI (Indonesian National Standard) certifications
- Other relevant business licenses
2. Contract Drafting and Review
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with :
Raw material suppliersDistributorsThird-party service providers (e.g. logistics, outsourcing, maintenance)Ensure contracts are legally sound and mitigate potential risks to the business3. Labor Law Compliance & Industrial Relations
Oversee employment agreements, including permanent, contract, and outsourced workersEnsure compliance with labor laws, occupational health & safety (K3), and industrial regulationsSupport the resolution of labor disputes and manage termination processesCollaborate with HR and provide legal assistance when dealing with government labor departments4. Legal Risk Management
Identify legal risks in corporate actions, production, and distribution processesPropose and implement strategies to mitigate those risks5. Asset & Intellectual Property Protection
Manage legal aspects of intellectual property such as :Product design patentsTrademarksTrade secrets and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)Ensure secure ownership of physical assets like land, buildings, and machinery6. Government & Institutional Coordination
Build and maintain professional relationships with government agencies such as PTSP, the Industry Department, Labor Department, and Environmental AgencyHandle legal aspects of inspections and audits conducted by authoritiesQualifications
Bachelors degree in Law (SH); Advocate license is an advantageMinimum 4-5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial companiesStrong understanding of business law, licensing, labor regulations, and industrial compliance in IndonesiaSkilled in contract drafting, negotiation, and risk managementConfident in coordinating with external regulatory bodies and internal teamsIndependent, meticulous, and legally insightful
